Using the Help Search
  • Phrase:Returns all topics that contain the exact phrase in the search criteria. Use quotation marks around the phrase.
    Ex."system administration"
  • And:Returns all topics that contain all the words in the search criteria, in any combination. Insert a plus sign between all words in the search criteria.
    Ex.system + administration
  • Or:Returns all topics with any combination of words in the search criteria. This is the default.

Deltek Acumen Options (Platforms - Deltek)

Select the Deltek products to which you want to link, and set related options.

Get External Data From

The products that you select here display on the S1 // Projects tab in the Get External Data From menu group.

Field Description
Deltek Open Plan (Native API) If you have Open Plan installed on your computer, and you have a valid Open Plan login, selecting this option allows you to link to an Open Plan project that is located in the Open Plan database to which you last connected.
Deltek Open Plan BK3 File Selecting this option allows you to link to an Open Plan BK3 (backup) file. You do not need Open Plan installed on your computer to use this method.
Deltek Cobra / Cost Data and WAD
Selecting this option allows you to import cost data from a Deltek Cobra data file, a .csv file, and Work Authorization data (WAD). If this option is not selected, you will not be able to import cost data and the following cost-related fields and tabs are disabled:
  • On the Activities General tab (S1 // Projects and S3 // Risk):
    • Original Cost Path
    • Cost Status Date
    • Original WAD Path
    • WAD Import Date
  • Control Accounts / Work Packages tab
  • Elements of Cost tab
  • WAD tab

Deltek Open Plan

Field Description
Username / Password Enter your username and password so that you don't have to enter them every time that you import an Open Plan project.
Import Code Field Definition As Specify whether you want to identify imported Open Plan code fields using their description, name, ID, or a prompt. If you select prompt, you will be asked to specify your choice every time you import a project. You can view the code fields on the Fields tab in the Source fields area.

Field Mapping

Select one of these options to have Acumen either apply the default field mapping template or a specified template when you import data. If the field mapping template includes code fields or user defined fields, they will be applied regardless of whether or not the Automatically Map User Defined Fields to Projects and Automatically Map Code Fields to Projectsoptions on the Platforms (General) view are selected.

Field Description
Use built in field mapping Select this option if you want to use the standard field mapping template. Clear if you want to specify a template in which case you will need to specify a location and file in the field below.
Default field mapping location Specify the default field mapping location and file. This field is disabled if you select Use build in field mapping.
